A visit from PC Bobby Bear

The children in both Reception classes have been learning about people in our society who help us. We have thought about doctors, nurses, vets and the police force. Today we have had a visit from PC Bobby Bear and learnt about all the things that the police do for us.
The children have been singing songs, making warrant cards, masks and painting pictures of Bobby bear.

Musical and letter fun!

We all had a wonderful time learning our Read, Write, Inc. letters and word building. We are all so clever.

Music lessons are such great fun, we learnt a new frog song! We can sing it for you at home!

If you go down to the woods today!

The Reception children had a fantastic time on Thursday morning with the autumn activities. They looked carefully at leaves, seeds and berries that they had collected from a seasons walk and drew some amazing chalk drawings. We had a visit from 'The Three Bears' and played in the porridge. The bear masks were great fun and we could use them for role play in the forest.

Some children made lovely hedgehog models and pictures with leaves. Oh what fun we are all having in Reception!

Bubble Fun!

The children have had a wonderful start to the academic year. They have settled in well to their new classrooms and have enjoyed exploring the main playground.

This week the children have been learning the b sound and have been threading buttons, sorting beads and bubble painting to help them reinforce the sound.
