Bonfire mathematics!
Today in Reception we did some bonfire maths. We ordered number firework pictures and estimated and counted the correct number of stars . Playdough numbers with golden stars were fun and we got really good at our number puzzles.
At Forest School we did some planting and started to make some Christmas decorations! Well done Reception!

Fantastic letter sounds!
We have been racing through our Read, Write, Inc letter sounds. This week we have done u, b, f and we will soon be thinking about e! It is great fun word building, decorating bonfire biscuits and making boot print b's. We have even managed to fit in a little bit of nativity play rehearsal too! Well done Reception!

Bonfire Preparations!
The Reception children have had a fantastic time at Forest School this week. They have been helping to prepare for bonfire night by collecting twigs and stacking them. They have checked very hard for any hedgehogs that might be hiding in the bonfire. All the children learnt about how to be safe during bonfire night and researched the history behind 'Gunpowder Plot'. Well done everyone!
