Pumpkin biscuits!

We have had great fun baking over the last couple of days. The children have been measuring and weighing which is really good with helping their maths. It was great to decorate the biscuits today!
We have been reading the 'Funny Bones' story and making skeleton pictures, writing and drawing chalk pictures, measuring 'spooky objects' with paper clips, playdough skeletons and ordering skeletons by size! We also made some Funny Bones masks.
Next term our topic will be ' The Spirit of Christmas' where we will be looking at Christain traditions and the story of the nativity. Keep practising those songs over half term children in preparation for our Christmas play. Happy holidays!

The pumpkin carving was great fun and we harvested the seeds and placed them in seed packets for our pumpkin growing experiments at home. Today we will make pumpkin biscuits and listen to the story of ' Pumpkin Soup'. Well done Reception!
